An often ignored sign of aging of the face is drooping or lined foreheads. These can make you look angry, sad or tired. Some patients will initially present for Botox. At some point, Botox will not have enough of an effect to lift the brow and surgical intervention is required. Two forms of brow lift have been popularized: The coronal approach which is an incision through the hairline and lifting the entire scalp. The more popular technique is endoscopically-assisted which requires several small incisions in the hairline and repositioning of the forehead with suspension on dissolving clips. The procedure usually takes approximately one hour.

The recovery is usually less than a week, staples are removed at that time, and you are presentable in public. Complications of brow lift typically are loss of sensation of the forehead for several weeks, some discomfort at the clip sites, bruising and swelling of the eyes which may prolong recovery.
